Sonny's BBQ proudly opened the doors for its new "prototype" on March 16, 2014 in Gainesville, FL. The patrons' response to Sonny's new look and desire for some great barbecue was overwhelming as people began lining up outside the restaurant at 5:45 A.M. for the Grand Opening.
ReliantSouth served as the Construction Management Firm for this challenging project. It marked ReliantSouth's ninth (9th) Sonny's construction project that has been facilitated for the Franchise Company as well as several franchisees. Concurrent to the recent re-branding of Sonny's BBQ, the new prototype exemplifies Sonny's sole focus… great barbecue. The new prototype reflects a new approach to showcasing the smoking process, having a dedicated "Pitmaster" area at each restaurant and implementing construction materials that reflect the "barbecue experience". This fresh, new look is sure to keep Sonny's BBQ established as an icon in the world of barbecue.
