Starting on Monday January 23rd at 6:30 P.M. Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Blvd., Team ReliantSouth will be teaching a six week Intro to Construction course on Monday nights through February 27th.
ReliantSouth President Richard Dodd was moved to start this training program in 2015 after hearing a sermon about the life of Martin Luther King. In Dr. King’s famous letter written from a Birmingham jail, it was stressed that all mankind should be involved in making a better society. Feeling this calling coupled with the fact that the entire construction industry is starved for workers, ReliantSouth developed the program and ultimately teamed with the LEAD Coalition, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and Gulf Coast State College. To date this training program has graduated 46 individuals in the four previous offerings of this course. The photo above is the inaugural graduating class.
