The professionals who are now ReliantSouth while working with their prior firm, facilitated the design and construction of the Multi-Purpose Center addition for the rapidly growing St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church. Originally, the church planned to renovate an existing, aging building on their campus. Team members voiced concerns about the church investing extensive capital into a structure that may not yield the lifespan the church needed. Our staff offered to re-assess the church’s fundamental facilities need, and offered to complete the project in a design-build delivery method.
Working in collaboration with Architect Michael Hunnicutt, the team was able to successfully re-orient the direction for the project and maintain the church’s tight budget. Today, the new Multipurpose Building includes a small chapel/meeting area, commercial kitchen, as well as Sunday School meeting areas. This project was truly a testimony to our team member’s unyielding commitment to providing both solutions & value to their clients.
