The Florida Commissioner of Education, Pam Stewart, recently recognized ReliantSouth Construction Group by naming them as a recipient of the 2016 Commissioner's Business Recognition Award. The award is given to only fifty (50) businesses throughout Florida to acknowledge their extraordinary contributions to public education.
The following article was written in recognition of the firm:
"Let's Build Our Future Together". This statement truly describes the service attitude of the president of ReliantSouth Construction Group, which is also embodied in the company's core values - "Our faith serves as our anchor". Consequently, they operate their business and maintain relationships with both honesty and integrity while embracing their civic and Christian responsibility.
Company President, Richard Dodd, is a long-time, ardent supporter of education, contributing for many years professionally and personally, to student programs. He also single-handedly volunteered to raise money to replace funding for academic competitions lost in budget cuts, collecting about $15,000 each of the last six years.
Most recently, he made it his mission to take the lead to establish a high school Building/Construction Academy. He privately raised seed money for equipment and materials and with colleagues has pledged internships for academy students.
He is always true to his word and commitment, which has proven to be mutually beneficial to students and to the community.
